Police arrest two women who beat and paraded naked another woman

TWO females who were seen assaulting their fellow woman by dragging and beating her in her naked state in a video which went viral on social media a week ago have been identified and arrested by police.
And Police have withheld the name of the victim but have revealed that the incident happened on 8th November around 16:00 hours at Kitwe’s Kamfinsa Correctional Service Camp.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has stated that the victim aged 34 years old reported the matter to police in Kitwe on Thursday 22nd November around 08:00 hours.
Katongo said the victim reported that as she was at her home with her female friend, who was in the company of a male Correctional Service Officer, she saw the wife of the officer identified as Melody Likando entering the house with her friends and dragged her from the bedroom where she was applying lotion, in her semi naked state.
She said the officer’s wife together with her female friends whom she had come with started beating her and accusing her of having an affair with her husband.
As the victim was being beaten, it is reported that another person was seen filming the incidence using a cell phone which was later posted on social media.
Katongo told Mwebantu in a statement that the officer’s wife and her friend have been apprehended and charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and will appear in court soon.
Meanwhile Katongo said police are still looking for the person behind the filming of the video who is currently on the run.
She also said that the two suspects have since been released on Police Bond.
