PF Put Intra-Party Democracy to a Test with C/B Elections Today

The Patriotic Front’s faith in intra-party processes will be on show today when elections for the provincial executive committee are held.

President Edgar Lungu will officially open the Copperbelt Conference to be held at the new Garden Court Hotel in Kitwe.

PF Secretary General Davies Mwila said the Party has continued to lead by example in upholding its democratic tenets of ensuring elections are held.

Mwila has asked all party members to participate in a free and fair manner further saying that only accredited delegates will be allowed and no amount of confusion will be tolerated.

Meanwhile, President Edgar Lungu praised the party in the Province for being democratic and electing leaders in all the structures.

“After tomorrow there will be a new chairman for the province and prayer is that you have done very well from the branches, ward, constituency, districts and would not want to mess things tomorrow (Saturday)? You have been very exemplary you have organised the party, electing leaders from the branches. My prayer is that please continue, be the example of democracy of Zambia, we have shown in PF that we can be democratic. We can differ but we still remain one,” President Lungu said.
