PF Cadres fire live ammunition at UPND Crew

Armed thugs from the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) at 22:08 hours were reported firing live ammunition at the opposition UPND campaign crew in Sinda.

Levy Ngoma who is heading the campaign team for UPND confirmed the development describing the situation as tense.

“The support for UPND is massive here hence this violence by the PF,” stated Ngoma.

Ngoma who is the UPND Chairperson for Agriculture and former Sinda Member of Parliament says the PF are having difficulties to campaign in the ward election and hence resorting to violence.

“Armed PF thugs are firing live ammunition at our campaign crew..,” Ngoma said adding that this was the second attack PF had launched today.

“In the Morning we were attacked again at SINDA COUNCIL when we wanted to undertake accreditation for our polling agents and party officials..
Situation is so tense..
All this is emanating from failure of the PF to conduct successful campaign meetings..” he explains.

Ngoma says Sinda Chiwuyu residents have been shanning PF meetings hence the frustration.
