Pending disciplinary issues worry Correctional Service Commission

Etambuyu Katota-The Zambia Correctional Service Commission has urged the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security and the correctional service command to quickly attend to disciplinary cases.

Commission Chairperson EVARISTO KALONGA says the ministry has given an assurance that all cases will be attended to by the end of 2022.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. KALONGA warned officers against engaging themselves in corrupt practices and partisan politics.

And Commission Vice Chairperson SIBOTE SIBOTE said the commission is ensuring that the service is fair and just.

Meanwhile, Commission Member TOM SILWINDI said the commission will ensure that the various grievances by officers are attended to.
