Patson Daka needs to show more of what Jamie Vardy does says former Spurs, Liverpool striker

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool striker Robbie Keane has said Zambian striker Patson Daka needs to stretch the defence more often.

Following Leicester City’s inconsistent season in the Premier League which has seen them just pick up 27 points from a possible 78, fans have turned to blame the players.

Daka hasn’t been spared from the criticism either despite it being his debut season in England.

The Kafue native has provided 3 assists and 4 goals in 12 premier league matches in addition to the 6 goals in the Europa League.

“I really like him. He’s scored some really good goals. [There are] big boots to fill with Jamie Vardy out of the team,” said Keane

“He needs to start getting in behind like Vardy does to stretch the defenders. Last week, the game I was watching he was coming too deep. I do like him.”

On Sunday, the 23 year old former Power Dynamos, Nchanga Rangers and Kafue Celtic striker was substituted in Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves
