Patson Daka makes it 17 games, 19 goals and 5 assists

17 games, 19 goals and 5 assists is how Patson Daka’s record in the Austrian Budesliga stands after he scored in his fifth consecutive much in the league to help Redbull Salzburg to a 3 – 1 win over Admira.

With Salzburg already leading 2 – 0 through goals from Antoine Bernede and Rasmus Kristensen in the 13th and 23rd minutes respectively, Daka added to his collection of beautiful goals  in the 30th minute.

His ran from deep in his own half on a counter attack was picked by Adeyemi after some good work on the left. He laid the ball in the path of the 22 year old Zambia who smashed it from the top of the box leaving Adreas Leitner in the Admira goal with no chance.

The visitors scored their face-saver in the 60th minute when a header by Niko Datković from a set piece came off the chest another Zambian international Enock Mwepu to beat Cican Stanković in goal.

Daka has now scored in all his last five league games raking in eight goals in those games. He is set to bag the golden boot as the second player on the chart is suspended team mate Sekou Koita with 14 goals while the third on the chart has 10 goals.

He has netted 26 times in all competitions this season.
