PARLY MOURNS MKANDAWIRE WITH VALEDICTORY SERVICE

Speaker of the National Assembly NELLY MUTTI has described late Kabwata Member of Parliament LEVY MKANDAWIRE as a mature politician who contributed to several matters in the National Assembly.

Ms. MUTTI says Mr. MKANDAWIRE engaged in non-partisan politics during his short career in the house.

The speaker was speaking during the valedictory service for the late Kabwata Law maker.

And speaking on behalf of Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO, Government Chief Whip STAFFORD MULUSA said the death of Mr. MKANDAWIRE has shocked the nation and the party at large.

Mr. MULUSA said Mr. MKANDAWIRE’s death has left a huge gap in the UPND leadership.

He also called on party members and the family to be calm as the law takes its course on the death of the late Kabwata law maker.

Meanwhile Acting leader of the opposition NICKSON CHILANGWA said Mr. MKANDAWIRE will be remembered for his dedication towards national duty.

Mr. CHILANGWA said Mr. MKANDAWIRE worked well with all members of Parliament from both the ruling and opposition.
