Our target is to reach the group stage – Aggrey Chiyangi

Green Eagles boss Aggrey Chiyangi says his side is all set to take on Coton sport of Cameroon in this afternoon’s CAF Confederation Cup first round at Nkoloma stadium.

Chiyangi confirmed that his side has a clean of health and fit for the match.

“We have done everything we were supposed to do, we were not idle we have been playing the league games meaning we have been active and we are not worried about the fitness levels,” Chiyangi said.

“We don’t have any injuries at the moment all the players are physically fit and emotionally fit meaning we will have the whole team to pick from for the team to play.”

“We have tried to speak to our players giving them advice on how we can approach the game, the only thing is that we haven’t played them before meaning some of the things will be done as the game proceeds.”

When asked about his poor striking force Chiyangi was quick to mention that as a coach you just have to trust your players, and tomorrow (today) it will be a different day for his strikers.

Chiyangi also revealed that his team is eying reaching the group stage of the Competition.

“Our target is to qualify to the group stages because we cannot say our target is to win the cup before you qualify to the group stages which is a primary thing.”

The match will be live on the National broadcaster ZNBC at 15:00 hours.
