Zesco United head coach Numba Mumamba says he is expecting a good outing from his team this afternoon when they square off with Forest Rangers in a Ndola derby at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Numba reiterated the team’s ambitions of winning the league. The Zega Mambo gaffer feels its high time his side started picking up maximum points as they look to catch up with teams who won their opening matches.

“Our target is collect maximum points especially that we dropped two points when we went to Lusaka, We are playing a local derby against Forest Rangers, It will be an interesting fixture, It is a game that will show that we have a team can get better results. Looking at how the team performed in Lusaka if we can improve on that I think we will have a field day,” he said.

” Of course, this is a different game altogether, We have planned for Forest and the team is ready and set for tomorrow, All we are looking at is collecting maximum points, we just have to dig deeper and start catching up with teams who got victories in their first games, I think our aim to challenge for the title so we have to start collecting maximum points,” he added.

Numba also went on to confirm that the duo of midfielders Thabani Kamusoko and Tafadzwa Ruiske are not yet ready for action having just returned on training recently.

“Looking at the way the team performed, we will give them another chance to prove themselves, We have picked the same team we had in Lusaka so that we see how they perform against Forest Rangers,” he said.

“Of course Kamusoko and Tafadzwa are coming back from injury, I think they are not yet ready to feature for the team.”

Zesco United will be looking to beat a team they have lost to five times since 2015.

Team Ya Ziko and Fole Malembe will be in action at 15:00 in a week two MTN/FAZ Super League encounter. The game will behind closed doors.
