OPPOSITION CHALLENGED TO ASSESS GOVT OBJECTIVELY

By Ruth Chayinda-

UPND Chairperson for Mines PERCY CHANDA has challenged opposition PF leaders to be objective in their assessment of how the UPND Government has performed since coming into office.

Mr. CHANDA says it is unfortunate that the PF and their supporters are alleging that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and the UPND government have done nothing so far.

He has since urged them to use the freedom of movement and free speech that President HICHILEMA has created to engage the Zambian people on a number of issues that the UPND has done.

Mr CHANDA said this in a statement released to ZNBC News in Lusaka today.

He said the UPND Government has since ascending to power made milestones among them increased allocation of Constituency Development Fund -CDF, Farmer Input Support Programme -FISP, introduced free education and halted cadreism.

Mr. CHANDA also noted that the UPND has allowed the rule of law to prevail while media houses have been given the freedom to operate.

He said the Government has also reduced inflation while the kwacha has stabilized.
