One Namibian National Dies in a Road Traffic Accident along the Mazabuka-Lusaka road

ONE Namibian National has been burnt to ashes while the other one has sustained injuries after two Volvo Trucks of unknown Registration numbers collided head on along the Mazabuka-Lusaka road at Nega Nega turn off.

The accident happened today around 07:00 hours.

Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Levy Lilanga has confirmed this to Mwebantu in Lusaka.

He says the first truck was being driven by Moses, other names and age not known who was towing trailer No.N693S while the second Volvo Truck trailer No.1832W was being driven by Willie Swart aged 22.

“The accident happened when the first driver failed to keep to his near side and went to hit the other truck,”Lilanga says.
It is reported that both trucks thereafter caught fire in the process.

“The first driver has since runaway and a manhunt has been launched while the remains of the second driver have been deposited in Mazabuka District Hospital Mortuary,” says Lilanga.
