OMCs HAPPY WITH REFORMATION OF INDENI REFINERY

The Oil Marketing Companies Association Of Zambia -OMCAZ-has welcomed the move by the government to reform Indeni Petroleum Refinery.
Association President Kafula Mubanga says the innovation is welcome as opposed to placing it on care and maintenance where it has been for some time now.
In an interview, Dr. Mubanga says the government should take advantage of Zambia’s strategic position by ensuring that the country produces more ethanol than what the country can consume to help cut down on imports.
He says OMCs expect that the government will not only encourage the use of ethanol but invest in innovations that will eradicate the possible shortage of fuels.
