Official: Clatous Chota Chama is Tanzania Premier League player of the season

Zambian midfielder Clatous Chota Chama was yesterday crowned as the best player of the just ended 2019/2020 Tanzania Vodacom Premier League.
The former Zesco United midfield ace also scooped the midfielder of the year accolade at the awards gala ceremony held last evening at the Mlimani City Conference Center.
In the player of the season award, he trounced Bakari Mwamnyeto of Coastal Union and Nicholas Wadada of Azam FC while in the midfielder of the year accolade he triumphed over Lucas Kikoti of Namungo FC and Balama Mapinduzi of Yanga.
‘Mwamba wa Lusaka’ was in great form for Wekundu wa Msimbazi helping them to win a treble and also topping the list of assists with ten to his name and two goals.
Chama also made it to the team of the season. Other winners from Simba include Meddie Kagere as top goalscorer, Aishi Manula as the best goalkeeper and Sven Vandenbroeck as coach of the season.
