Zambia’s CAF Confederation Cup representatives NAPSA Stars’ defender David Odhiambo says he has a lot of respect for the club which brought him on the African continent in terms of football but was quick to mention that he is no longer attached to them as he is under a different team now.

Odhiambo was speaking ahead against his team’s pre-group first leg clash against his former side, Gor Mahia set for Sunday, 14th February at 14:00 local time at the Nyayo International Stadium.

“For me, we are in business though I played for Gor Mahia before now that I moved on am at Napsa stars and it’s an opportunity to play them, I think as a player what matters is to do your best at the current team you are,” he said.

When asked if he will celebrate if he scores against his former club, David had this to say: I don’t think I can celebrate because I have a lot of respect for Gor Mahia they brought me to where am today so when I moved from Gor Mahia to Zambia they gave me an opportunity that we will never fight as well as blessings and the rest is history,” he added.

David Odhiambo will be playing in his mother country though as an opponent this time and he is hoping for a great encounter against Gor Mahia adding that there is a lot at stake as Napsa needs to qualify including that his coach from the national team will be available to watch the match.
