Nothing strange about working with govt of the day-Senior Chief Kanongesha

Senior Chief KANONG’ESHA of the Lunda speaking people in Mwinilunga District says it should not be deemed strange when traditional leaders pledge to work with the government of the day.

Senior Chief KANONG’ESHA says the Zambian culture dictates that traditional leaders work hand in hand with the government of the day to deliver development to their subjects.

The traditional leader who declared himself ready to work with President – Elect HAKAINDE HICHILEMA said this in a statement.

And the traditional leader applauded outgoing President EDGAR LUNGU for conceding defeat in the just ended August 12, election.

Chief KANONG’ESHA said the action by President LUNGU has once more consolidated the country’s democracy.

He also called on citizens to remain united and peaceful and avoid acts of violence.
