NORTH WESTERN FOOTBALL ON THE RISE

The Football Association of Zambia says football in North Western Province has improved following sponsorship from mining houses operating in the Province.

FAZ North Western Province Vice Chairman, KENNEDY MUSELU says the sport has been receiving support from the mining investors which has seen two football clubs from the Province namely Lumwana Radiants and Kansanshi Dynamos playing in the Super League.

MUSELU says the Provincial FAZ Executive is also prioritising women’s football and has an active female football league across all Districts in the Province.

MUSELU was speaking when Sarago Motors unveiled a new kit for Trident Football Club, a National League side based in Kalumbila District.

He said more corporate companies should emulate Sarago Motors and partner to develop football in North Western Province.

And, Sarago Motors Chief Operating Officer, LUONDE KYANAMINA said the sponsorship is part of the company’s commitment to helping local coomunities and investing time and resources into causes that make a difference.

Meanwhile, FQM Trident Ltd General Manager JUNIOR KEYSEY unior Keysey said the unveiling of the new kit will motivate the payers and the coaching staff to improve their performance and ensure they win promotion to the Super League.
