North Africa Not ideal For Our Players

Dear Editor,
I am particularly impressed with Benedict Tembo’s comment on Zanaco FC regarding their player Augustine Mulenga (Sunday July 21, 2017) while on the other hand, I would say Green Buffaloes acted rather too hastily in selling Brian Mwila, especially that it came towards the CHAN tournament.

I am one person who is very much against our players going to play football in the African Arab league.
For Morocco, ask Tenant Chilumba and Maybin Mgaiwa. We had players who tried their professional football in Egypt; late Fred Mwila Junior, Emmanuel Mayuka, Sate-Sate, while Rainford Kalaba abandoned a contract in Egypt.
The nation has never regretted seeing Nathan Sinkala, Kabaso Chongo and other Zambians playing at TP Mazembe.
I suggest these players are advised to stop going to the North African league.
COSMAS KALUMBA
