“No Street Vending Lusaka CBD”

Government says it will NOT be swayed by political talks to bring back street vending in the Lusaka Central Business District.

Local Government Permanent Secretary, MAAMBO HAAMAUNDU says street vending remains illegal and those found wanting will be prosecuted.

Mr. HAAMAUNDU says Government is aware of some people who have deliberately gone back on the streets and campaigning for street vending to be brought back in the name of politics.

He has told ZNBC News that anyone found wanting will not be spared but be taken to the fast track court for going against the directive.
