No Pregnancies! First Lady Impressed with Chibwika Primary School

First Lady Esther Lungu has commended management at Chibwika Primary School in Mwinilunga district of North Western province for recording zero child pregnancy among pupils for the past three years.This is despite the school having a big number of girls enrolled than the boys.Mrs. Lungu says the development shows that more girls at the school are concentrating on education.The First Lady said this in Mwinilunga during a briefing at Chibwika primary school before gracing the commemoration of International Day of the African Child.The First Lady said it is a rare scenario to keep a good number of girls in school as most of them in rural areas have dropped out due to early marriages and child pregnancies among others.She urged the school to continue putting in place disciplinary measures to maintain the record which other schools must emulate.And Chibwika primary school head teacher Alvary Kayongo said the learning institution has an enrolment of 3-hundred and 66 which include 181 boys and 185 girls running from grades one to seven.
