The Livingstone City Council has assured mini bus drivers operating at the station next to the newly built Livingstone City Market that the local authority has no immediate plans of removing them from the station.

Council Public Relations Manager MELVIN MUKELA has told ZNBC News in an interview that mini bus drivers can continue operating in peace for now.

Mr. MUKELA said although the land is earmarked for a car park for customers for the Livingstone City market, that the plans may only be implemented in the future.

He said any action that the council will intend to undertake will be communicated to the parties to be affected.

There has been anxiety among minibus drivers over rumours going round that once the big buses move to the new bus station this week, that they would be moved elsewhere.
