NKANDU challenges sports federations

Sports Minister ELVIS NKANDU has challenged sports federations to beat last year’s record of trophies and medals.

This is after the Zambian Futsal National Team won two International tournaments in Italy and Croatia.

NKANDU says victories and good performances will attract investment and sponsorship for the teams.

He told ZNBC news that government remains committed to playing its part in supporting all sports disciplines.

Meanwhile, Futsal National Team Coach ANDREA CRISTOFORETTI said the team has gotten recognition on the international stage after high quality performances.

And Futsal Association Chairperson TARAK MEHTA said the new season will see increased competition as players fight for slots in the national team.
