Nkana welcome Buildcon in tricky affair

Nkana Football Club will this afternoon welcome third placed Ndola based side Buildcon Football Club in rescheduled week 8 encounter in Stream B of the MTN/FAZ Transitional Super League to be played at the Nkana Stadium today.

With Nkana coming from two draws against Nkwazi and Green Eagles, coach Beston Chambeshi will be looking to return to winning ways after playimg two successive games away from home.

Kalampa’s last victory came against MUZA FC in which they needed goals from Festus Mbewe and Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba to get all the three points off a spirited Mazabuka outfit coming from a goal down.

Buildcon, on the other hand, are coming in the encounter with a loss and a draw in their last two encounters against Green Eagles and Nkwazi Football Club which has left them rooted to position number three on the table with 25 points four behind log leaders Green Eagles.

The match has a lot at stake for the two sides as Nkana are twelve points behind the log leaders in Stream B of the transitional league, even though a win will not see them move up the table as they can only get to 20 points and still remain in 7th place it will be a step closer to the top two places.

While, Buildcon who will be without Lameck Banda following his dismissal during the Nkwazi match know that a win will take them close to qualifying for the CAF Interclub competition has they will leapfrog Nkwazi into second position with 28 points which will leave them with just a point behind table topers Green Eagles.


The match will kickoff at 15:00Hrs.
