Full-Time Scores,

👉 Indeni Roses 7-2 Nkana Queens (Rhoda Chileshe x4, Mwaka Mupeta x2, Grace Kamanga | Natasha Kapombo x2)

Nkana Queens return to the pitch this afternoon after serving a ban from the Football Association of Zambia for Violent Conduct and Unsporting behavior that was exhibited during an abandoned FAZ Women’s Super League Match Week 9 against Zambian Institute for Sustainable Development (ZISD) Women Football played at Lusaka’s Independence Stadium.

Their return to action was met with a disappointing 7-2 bashing at the hands of Indeni Roses in week 19 of the 2020/21 FAZ Women’s Super League encounter played at Indeni Sports Complex.

With most of their key players missing in this match including the Captain Grace Kapansa, it was always going to be difficult for the Red Queens technical bench to handle the Roses who have been exceptional this season.

The Roses found the back of the net through Copper Queens midfielder Rhoda Chileshe who put up an exceptional performance with 4 goals, and coincidentally Chileshe played her first league match against Nkana on 21st April 2021 after coming back from an injury that kept her away for over a year.

Mwaka Mupeta scored a brace and a goal from Grace Kamanga completed Roses’ seven-goal galore while Kalampa scored through the enterprising left-footer Natasha Kapombo who had a brace unfortunately that was not enough for Nkana as the Oilo Ladies emerged as 7-2 winners over The Red Queens.

This win has taken the coach Wisdom Kaira drilled lasses to 33 points, 6 behind log leaders ZESCO Ndola Girls while Nkana under the Hospice of Coach Lucky are still rocked bottom with only 3 points to their name and yet to win a match.

Roses next assignment was supposed to be an away match to Green Buffaloes while Nkana were scheduled to host Red Arrows with both matches postponed because Arrows and Buffaloes have five players each currently in camp with the senior women’s national team preparing for the Rescheduled 2020 Tokyo Olympics to be staged in two weeks in Japan.
