Patriotic Front aspiring candidates in Ndola District have been given a 24-hour ultimatum to remove all their posters, banners and withdraw flyers.

PF Ndola District Chairman Benjamin Chitondo says candidates who will not follow party instructions regarding early campaigns risk being disqualified for going against the rules.

Mr. Chitondo has argued that this is not the time to display posters and banners not until one is adopted further stating that the party regards such as an act as indiscipline and may attract sanctions.

He explains that the party will only allow such during campaigns stating that at the moment, all candidates are only showing interest in a particular constituency or ward.

Meanwhile, Ndola Central Constituency aspiring candidate Joseph Chilinda has welcomed the move saying it will level the playing field for all candidates.

And the PF in Kitwe District has received around 200 applications from various individuals aspiring as councillors, members of parliament and as mayors on the ruling party ticket for the august polls against the 41 slots available.

PF Kitwe District Chairman Evaristo Chilufya told the media in Kitwe today that 142 aspirants have applied for adoption as councillors while 8 have applied for adoption as mayors of the city of Kitwe with the rest applying for parliamentary seat adoption for the 5 constituencies in Kitwe.

And Mr. Chilufya says adoption will be based on the popularity of the candidates.
