NAPSA Stars target win over UD Songo

Napsa Stars will be back representing Zambia in the CAF confederation cup this afternoon when they battle it out with UD Songo of Mozambique in the first leg of the first round of the competition.

The battleground is going to be Heroes Stadium in Lusaka at 15 hours Central African Time. Zambia National Broadcasting Network will beam the game live.

During a pre-match press briefing, Napsa stars Coach Mohamed Fathi asked his team to emulate the attacking football they played in the first games when they eliminated Ngazi FC of Comoros.

Napsa Stars have been boosted by the return of some players who were on the injured list. Coach fathi confirmed the availability of Tapson Kaseba and Bornwell Mwape as they may be considered in today’s game.

“We expect a good result tomorrow (Today), we need to finish the game at home before we travel to Mozambique,” Fathi said.

“Our approach is the same as in the first round, we need to score many goals as we can, we need to play attacking football because you know it’s a two-leg fixture and you secure a win with several goals scored at home.”

“We had some injuries outside the touchline but its not a big issue because we have depth in the team and I think we happy to see some players outside for a long time touching the line, the likes of Tapson Kaseba and Bornwell to start touching the line so we are ok,” he added.

Napsa stars skipper Dickson Chapa, also declared his team ready for the encounter this afternoon.

“I think the spirit is very high in the camp especially like the coach said, we hhave welcomed some guys who were injured, so it’s more like a full house,we are encouraging each other so the spirit is very high .reaching the group stage is out target..we ready for tomorrow’s game,” Chapa said.
