NAPSA PAYS OUT K59M IN CLAIMS

The National Pension Scheme Authority -NAPSA has paid over 59.4- million Kwacha in claims to 1,506 Zambia National Provident Fund -ZNPF- members.

NAPSA Head Corporate Affairs CEPHAS SINYANGWE adds that the authority has so far logged 4,334 claims from ZNPF members since President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s assented to the NAPSA Bill number 21.

Mr. SINYANGWE says NAPSA is pleased with the response from the ZNPF members claiming for their benefits.

He adds that the authority targets to settle 100 million Kwacha of ZNPF claims before the end of this year if the trend continues.

Mr. SINYANGWE has told ZNBC News in an interview that NAPSA is pleased that those lodging claims are happy that they are able to access their funds.

And hundreds of ZNPF members have continued flocking to NAPSA offices to lodge in their claims.

A check by ZNBC News crew at the NAPSA Head offices found the claims department almost full as early as 08 hours.
