NAPSA pays out K17 billion credit to SMEs,individuals

The National Pension Scheme Authority -NAPSA- in Partnership with the Banking Sector have provided K17b to facilitate the provision of credit to individuals and businesses in the country.

NAPSA Acting Head of Treasury and Investments KEBBY KAUMBI says the move is aimed at boosting trade and investment in the country.

Mr. KAUMBI also says NAPSA has continued to partner with government through the provision of bonds and bills to a tune Of K32b as of March 31st.

He told ZNBC News that this kind of investment will go to sectors that will help in stimulating the economy.

Meanwhile NAPSA has paid up over three hundred and thirty two thousand members their 20 percent Pre retirement benefits.

Acting Corporate Affairs Manager COLLINS MUYENGA said as of June 29, the total amount paid to beneficiaries is K7.7b.
