NAMWALA CHIEFS MEET PRESIDENT LUNGU

 

By Hector Simfukwe-President Edgar Lungu says government has made progress in connecting chiefdoms through the construction of roads and installation of Telecommunication towers.

President Lungu says government will continue connecting chiefdoms and Districts through the building of roads.

He says the exercise is important because it opens up communities to economic activities.

The President says government also wants roads connecting Zambia to other countries to be in good state.

He said this when he met chiefs in Namwala District.

And President Lungu said government will work hard to provide the necessary infrastructure to support the Livestock sector in Namwala.

He said Namwala is the centre of Livestock farming in the country, hence the need for government to support the farmers.

Speaking earlier, Chief Mukobela thanked government for building schools in chiefdoms in Namwala.

The Traditional leader appealed to government to provide the needed infrastructure in the livestock sector.
