NALUMANGO: WE WANT TO STRENGTH RELATIONS WITH SOUTH AFRICA

BY REUBEN CHOMBA

Vice President WK MUTALE NALUMANGO says the New Dawn administration under the leadership of President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA remains committed to strengthening the bilateral cooperation with South Africa for the benefit of the general citizenry.

The Vice President said Zambia values the relations it shares with South Africa which had blossomed over the years as can be attested by the high level exchange of visits between the two countries.

Mrs. NALUMANGO says the two countries continue to treasure peace, unity, rule of law and protection of human rights.

She said this when South Africa’s high commissioner to Zambia GEORGE TWALA paid a courtesy call on her at her office.

Meanwhile, Mr. TWALA disclosed that South Africa and Zambia have continued to enjoy warm and cordial relations.

Mr. TWALA said it is important to reflect on the progress achieved and identify key areas that need to be improved as the two countries strengthen their bilateral relations.

He said trade between the two countries has increased as a result of the existing bilateral relations.
