NALUMANGO CHALLENGES BANKS ON MORTGAGES

Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has urged financial institutions to design packages that will allow Zambians access affordable mortgages.

Mrs. NALUMANGO says Zambian firms should also take advantage of the environment that Government has created and help deal with the housing deficit which stands at over 1.5 million units.

And Mrs. NALUMANGO has also called on Small and Medium Enterprises -SME’s-, to partner with foreign companies to come up with win -win construction projects that will benefit citizens.

The Vice President said this in a speech read on her behalf by Infrastructure Minister CHARLES MILUPI during the handover of housing units at Emerald Hill Housing Project in Chongwe’s Chamba Valley area.

And speaking at the same event, of Small and Medium Enterprises Minister ELIAS MUBANGA said Government takes pride in companies that empower locals especially emerging enterprises.

And Emerald Hill Housing Project Managing Director DON WU said his company has engaged the local community.
