NALUMANGO ASKS JAPAN TO INVEST

Vice President WK MUTALE NALUMANGO has urged Japan to take advantage of the good investment climate  to expand areas of cooperation.

Mrs. NALUMANGO says government is also working tirelessly to improve the economy and attract more investments.

She says the Japanese Government support in Zambia resonates well with the UPND’s administration to accelerate economic growth and improve the living standards of the people.

The Vice President says it is for this reason government is committed to strengthening the existing relations between Zambia and Japan.

She says the Japanese Government through a number of ongoing projects such as JICA has supported Zambia’s education sector and upgraded Health facilities.

Mrs. NALUMANGO has called on Japan to expand more assistance in agriculture and other areas.

The Vice President was speaking when Japanese Ambassador to Zambia RYUTA MIZUUCHI paid a courtesy call on her at her office in Lusaka today.

And Mr. MIZUUCHI said President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has a desire to work with the Japanese Government to enhance economic development between the two countries.

He said during a meeting held with the Head of State a number of opportunities for expansion in cooperation were discussed.

Mr. MIZUUCHI said among issues were to find ways to increase investment opportunities between the two countries.
