Nakambala decide against renewing contracts for four youngsters

The Zambia Sugar sponsored side has decided not to renew contracts of four youngsters the ZamFoot Crew understands.

The four are Evans Chisenga,Jeff Banda, Mambwe Samboko and Isaac Mulima whose contracts were suppose to run out as of March month end but following a directive from FIFA they will do so when the season comes to an end.

The ZamFoot Crew can reveal that the quartet received letters from the club signed by the acting CEO Mr Obert Habasimbi last week informing them of the decision not to renew their contracts.

Of the four players only Mambwe Samboko has yet to feature for the Sugar Boys in any game but made it two the match day squad under former Coach Patrick Phiri twice though he did not feature.

Isaac Mulima a midfielder tasted Super League football in 2019 during the transitional league against Power Dynamos a game in which Gozon Mutale scored to give Abayellow an away victory.

Evans Chisenga and Jeff Banda frequently featured for the Mazabuka based side and played a good number of games for Nakambala Leopards despite not scoring any goals.

When the Super League came to a halt back in March, Nakambala Leopards were on 16th place with a messily 17 points from 24 games.
