My hubby comes home shaved, Wife tells Court

A DISTRESS woman of Lusaka has told the Chawama Local Court that she was upset with her husband who always came home with shaved pubic hair and she has decided to sue for marriage reconciliation.

Eunice Changwe, 33, of Chibolya Township sued Gabriel Mubanga, 36, of Msisi compound.

They couple have been on separation for two months now.

The pair got married in 2010 and together they have one child. Bride price was not paid.

She said that problems in their marriage started shortly after they got married as Mubanga’s relatives started insulting her coupled with being mocked whenever they come to visit their house.

Eunice said on June 15, 2016 her husband told her that he was going to visit his longtime friend in Kafue only to return the following day with a shaved pubic hair and wondered who shaved him when it was supposed to be done by her.

She said Mubanga was also in the habit of beating her and burning her clothes whenever they have a misunderstanding.

But in his defense, Mubanga told the court that he feels uncomfortable being shaved by his wife and that was the more reason why he started shaving himself, a statement that irritates Eunice.

“The other problem I have with my wife is that she spends more time watching Zee World and only comes to bed late when I am fast asleep. She has forgotten all her marital responsibilities,” he complained.

Passing judgement, Senior Court Magistrate Kalala reconciled the couple.
