Mwata Kazembe, Chinyama Mourn RB

Patricia Banda-The MWATA KAZEMBE of Mwansabombwe, Luapula Province has described the 4th President RUPIAH BANDA as a humble man who embraced everyone.

The MWATA says the death of Mr. BANDA is a big blow to the people of Zambia because of the role he played of unifying people.

The traditional leader said this to ZNBC news through his Chief Political Advisor PETER CHANSHI in Lusaka today.

MWATA KAZEMBE has however urged all Zambians to continue embracing one another so that peace continues to prevail.

He has sent a message of condolences to Former First lady THANDIWE BANDA and the family.

Meanwhile, Chief CHINYAMA of Zambezi District says President BANDA was an advocate of reconciliation, democracy and dedicated his life to public service.

Chief CHINYAMA said the former President will be remembered for upgrading the Zambezi- Chavuma Road to Bituminous standard.

He said apart from installing him as Chief of the Luvale people in 2010, Mr. BANDA also launched the Makishi safeguarding project for UNESCO during the 2008 Likumbi Lya Mize Traditional Ceremony.

Meanwhile Chief CHINYAMA has appealed to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and former President EDGAR LUNGU to forget about the past and unite for the good of the country.

In a statement to ZNBC News, Chief CHINYAMA welcomed the decision by President HICHILEMA to invite President LUNGU to the funeral as this will promote Unity.
