Mwape tips Shepolopolo

Chansa Kunda – Shepolopolo Coach BRUCE MWAPE has hailed his troops for showing character in last night’s 4-1 triumph over Togo.

Zambia thrashed Togo 4-1 to finish top of group B on seven points.

And MWAPE says he is happy with the result.

He says the team will re-strategise ahead of Wednesday’s game against Senegal.

MWAPE says the team will not take the Senegal encounter lightly as it will be their gate pass to the semifinals and will guarantee the team a place at next year’s FIFA World Cup.

Speaking during a post – match press conference, MWAPE said the team is ready to face any side at the tournament.

He said the team has tremendously progressed at the tournament having started their campaign on a low note.

And some football analysts have implored the team to guard against complacency when they meet Senegal.

JULIUS MALULU said the Shepolopolo should play an attacking game and ensure they frustrate their opponents in the process.

And MUSONDA CHIBULU has predicted that the game against Senegal will be tense as the winner will go to the World Cup.

CHIBULU said the team should strive to score goals in the first half so that they can bury the fixture and avoid getting into the panic mode.
