MUZA seal Super League promotion

Mazabuka based side, MUZA FC has sealed qualification to the Zambia Super League for the 2022/2023 season.

This follows their had fought 2-1 win over KYSA away in Kabwe on Saturday.

Chipo Sondashi gave MUZA a lead in the 26 th minute but the lead only lasted for four minutes as Selassie Bakai leveled matters at the half hour mark.

MUZA were however back in the lead just two minutes into the second half thanks to Bobo Angwenga sealed the victory with stunning strike from a freekick.

The Elegant Dynamites are now tied on 60 points with League leaders Lumwana Radiants who faces City of Lusaka this afternoon and have also qualified to the elite Zambian league.

The battle for promotion now remains among NAPSA Stars, Nchanga Rangers and Mufulira Wanderers with Jumulo, Young Green Eagles, City Of Lusaka, Kitwe United and Gomes all with a small mathematical chance of winning promotion.

This will be MUZA’s second stint in the top Zambian league having won promotion back in 2018 as Manchester United Zambia Academy before rebranding to Maestro United Zambia (MUZA).
