Mutondo Stars and Riflemen secure National Division One qualification

Copperbelt Champions, Mutondo Stars FC and Lusaka Provincial Division One winners Riflemen FC have qualified to National Division One.

This follows the Mutondo’s 1-0 win over Real Nakonde and Riflemen’s hard fought 2-0 win over Katete Rangers.

Osmond Chita’s late goal was enough for Mutondo Stars to secure promotion. Mutondo started their campaign with a six zero win over Mansa Wanderers on Thursday before beating Aguila Stars 2-0 yesterday.

Riflemen on the other hand beat Mpulungu Harbour 3-1 before edging Luena Buffaloes on Friday.

The National Division One play offs will continue tomorrow at Margaret Mwanakatwe and Crested Crane Academy.
