The Zambian League is currently on halt due to the worldwide outbreak of the coronavirus but the ZamFoot Crew continues to keep you updated on all things Zambian Football.

At the point when the League was halted every team had played 21 plus games with Forest Rangers surprisingly leading the log.

Baba Basile, Collins Sikombe and Kennedy Musonda were among the three men that had impressed many fans before the coronavirus epidemic put a stop to the games.

The ZamFoot Crew spoke to Napsa Stars exciting forward Musonda Kapembwa who selected all his team of the season so far.

Being a Napsa Stars player he picked a number of players from the Pensioners squad but who else makes it into his XI?

GK: Ian Otieno – He was quite outstanding at red Arrows and managed to catch the eye of Zesco. A good shot-stopper with a lot of potential to become even better.

RB: Ben Chepeshi – It is rare to find a right-back whose defensive work is as good as his attacking, usually one side of his game suffers but with Ben you get a perfect balance. Very good one against one and also very good going forward.

CB: Clement Mwape – he looks to be the real deal and with good leadership qualities. Sometimes he reminds me of Puyol. Very solid at the back and strong.

CB: Luka Banda – For me, this guy is the best center back in Zambia at the moment, I watch and play against him in training and every day I am amazed at how he is always hungry to win games and win challenges. This one is a top top player.

LB: Bonwell Silengo– He has played every minute of every game this season, another defender who will give you a good balance going forward and defensively

DM: Benson Sakala– he’s positional discipline is second to none, and he always makes himself available to receive the ball. Very comfortable in possession.

CAM: Larry Bwalya– He is a marvel to watch. He does what he wants and usually, it works out. A player is full of confidence.

CAM-Collins Sikombe– He has scored so many goals from the midfield this season. Very clever on their ball and makes very good runs into the box.

CF- Chamanga James– at his age, it is amazing that the man still has so much energy. I remember in the game we played against arrows he came on late in the second half and completely changed the game. And also he is right up there fighting for the golden boot.

LF-Kennedy Musonda– the most underrated forward in the league. Quick off the ground, strong in the air and scores plenty of goals also. I feel he has a big future.

RF-Baba Basile– Currently the top scorer in the league, Basile has been cold as ice in front of the goal.

Musonda had this to say about him:

I am not a huge fan of his but he is having a very good season in front of goal

What do you think about Kapembwa’s best starting line up?
