MUSICIANS DISAPPOINTED

By Mushota Mpundu

Some of Zambia’s top musicians are disappointed with people politicizing their decision to distribute free Covid-19 materials to the public as the virus continues to ravage the country.

Speaking when they featured on ZNBC’s Ahmed Live radio program in Kitwe, group representative Felix Phiri said it is sad that leaders aspiring for the highest office in the land can politicize such a noble gesture.

Mr. Phiri, whose stage name is Felix, cautioned Zambians to be wary of political leaders who do not care about their welfare.

And Mulaza Kaira popularly known as Macky 2 described the distribution of Covid materials as a Local Musicians social responsibility campaign aimed at promoting interaction between artists and the fans.

Meanwhile Wesley Chibambo also known as Daddy Krazy said all those condemning the musicians have no heart for the vulnerable Zambians.

Earlier, Mampi Mukape disclosed that she is targeting to reach out to vulnerable women and children under the programme.
