MPONGWE DISBURSES K876,000 CDF

The Mpongwe Town Council on the Copperbelt has disbursed K876,000 under the Constituency Development Funds -CDF for secondary school and college students in the district.

Mpongwe Member of Parliament GREGORY NGOWANI says the sponsorship of students and pupils is aimed at ensuring that the CDF in the area is fully actualized.

The parliamentarian was speaking during the official handover of the sponsorship funds to SIX secondary Schools and TWO colleges in the district.

Meanwhile, Mpongwe District Commissioner BURTON MUKOMBA said the disbursement of the funds will help alleviate sponsorship challenges facing young people in the district.

Mr MUKOMBA stated that procurement of desks and construction of education infrastructure will be enhanced through the CDF which has been brought closer to the people.
