Mpezeni : HH should not be distracted

Paramount Chief MPEZENI of Eastern Province says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA should not be distracted by people who do not provide proper checks and balances.

The Chief says the president should continue doing things that are in the best interest of the general citizenry.

Paramount Chief MPEZENI says the declaration of the prolonged drought as a disaster by President HICHILEMA is timely.

The Paramount Chief was speaking when Presidential advisor for politics LEVY NGOMA and Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI paid a courtesy call on him at Ephendukeni palace to inform him of President HICHILEMA’s visit to Chipata tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Mr. NGOMA said the President is happy with the good reception accorded to him by the people in the region and traditional leaders during Nc’wala ceremony last month.

And, Mr. PHIRI said the province is ready to host the National Youth Day event tomorrow.
