Mozambique stun sorry Chipolopolo

Stanley Latifo’s 90th minute strike guided Mozambique to a first-ever win over Zambia in the opening Group K match of the Total AFCON 2019 qualifying campaign.

It was a richly deserved victory for Abel Xavier’s well-drilled side as they taaught a listless Chipolopolo a footballing lesson in a match played before a sparse crowd at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Mozambique’s victory means they take early command of Group K while the home side will take up the bottom slot.
