Moses Phiri on target as Simba progress to Champions League group stage

Zambian forward Moses Phiri has continued his fine form in front of goal for Tanzanian heavyweights, Simba Sports Club. 

Phiri scored the only goal of the game as Wekundu Wa Msimbazi completed their double over Angolan giants Primero de Agosto.

Phiri finished off an Augustine Okrah pass beautifully in the 35th minute to seal an important win at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.

Simba SC beat Agosto 3-1 in the first leg with Moses Phiri and Clatous Chota Chama scoring a goal each in the match. 

The former Zanaco forward has now scored give goals in the CAF Champions League and only Young Africans’ Fiston Mayele (7) has scored more.

Simba have since qualified to the CAF Champions League group stage with a 4-1 aggregate scoreline.
