MORE FOREIGN BASED NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS ARRIVE

More Zambia National Football team foreign based players have continued to troop into the country ahead of Thursday’s group H AFCON qualifier match against Algeria.

Latest to join the National football team camp are South African duo Gamphani Lungu and Goalkeeper Cyril Chibwe.

Speaking upon arrival Polokwane City goalkeeper, Chibwe said he is delighted to be back in the squad for the first time since November 2019.

Chibwe said the country still stands a chance of qualifying to the AFCON adding that effort by the team is what will produce the wining results.

He said he will work hard in order to cement a place in the National team under the tutorage of Coach Milutin Sredojevic.

And Super Sport United striker Gamphani Lungu has urged his fellow players to concentrate on the Algeria match.

Lungu said the team has all the qualities needed to win Thursday’s crucial encounter.

Chibwe and Lungu bring the number of arrivals to seven after Clatous Chama, Rally Bwalya, Nathan Sinkala, Kabaso Chongo and Tandi Mwape who are already in camp.

Zambia hosts Algeria on Thursday in a 21:00 hours kick-off that will be played behind closed doors owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
