MONGU WOMEN, YOUTHS EMPOWERED

 

(NAIS) Mongu District Commissioner HONZY MANG’WATO says government has fulfilled its role in creating an enabling environment for women and youth to participate in the economic.

Mr. MANG’WATO says the decision to empower women and youth in Mongu with economic activities such as Livestock is testimony of government’s commitment.

He says government its economic empowerment programmes such as the Livestock stocking and restocking has fulfilled its promise of not leaving anyone behind in the economic transformation of the country.

Mr. MANG’WATO was speaking in Mongu District when he handed over 1 thousand chickens to women and youth cooperatives in Lealui Upper, Kambole, Imwiko and Katongo.

The Livestock has been provided by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock under the Enhanced Smallholder Livestock Investment Programme, E-SLIP.
