MONGU POLICE NAB 32 SUSPECTS BEHIND NIGHT ROBBERIES

(ZANIS) Police have apprehended 32 suspected notorious criminals who have been terrorising Mongu residents in Western province.

This was after a night patrol in selected areas which included the central business district .

Western Province Commissioner of Police, FWAMBO SIAME says the command has been recieving complaints from the members of the public about attacks by unknown persons especially at night.

He has since appealed to members of the public to be cautious especially during this festive season to avoid being attacked and robbed.

Mr Siame said police will soon engage the Mongu Municipal Council to enforce the statutory instrument that stipulates the closing time of bars to avoid people moving at awkward hours.
