MILENGE BEGS FOR BANKING FACILITIES

Milenge Member of Parliament Saka Chonde has called on financial institutions to extend physical banking services to Milenge district of Luapula Province.

Mr. Chonde notes that the area has had no brick and mortar banking facility since it was declared a district 24 years ago.

He says the lack of physical banking services in the area hinders service delivery as service providers are forced to travel to neighbouring districts of Samfya and Mansa which are over one hundred and 50 kilometers away.

The Milenge Law Maker adds that he is in the process of constructing a structure which interested banking institutions can occupy in the area.
