The Zambia national team will this afternoon square off with the Flames of Malawi at the National Heroes Stadium in the first of their three international friendly matches during this FIFA window.

Head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has already stated that only local players will face Malawi this afternoon.

The ZamFoot Crew now looks at the possible Combinations that the Serbian Wolf may try this afternoon with the players he has in camp.

In goal, Sebastian Mwange and Jackson Kakunta are likely to battle for a starting place with Mwange likely to start the match. Mwange was brilliant during the 2019 COSAFA tournament last year and was named goalkeeper of the tournament.

Kakunta on the other hand has improved tremendously of late and he one of the most promising young goalkeepers at the moment. Lameck Siame has also put up a good case for himself.

On the right-back position, Power Dynamos defender Kondwani Chiboni is the favorite to start ahead of Benedict Chepeshi while former Kabwe Warriors left back Zachariah Chilongoshi will start at left-back.

Luka Banda will partner Dominick Chanda at the heart of the defense. The defensive midfield position is the most competitive with Benson Sakala, Leonard Mulenga, and Kelvin Kapumbu all vying for a starting place.

On the wings, Amity Shamende, Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Bruce Musakanya, and Chaniza Zulu are battling for two starting spots.

Collins Sikombe is expected to start in a number ten role with Emmanuel Chabula leading the line.

Zambia and Malawi will square off at 15:00hrs and the match will be played behind closed doors. ZNBC may televise the match.
