Zambia National team Head Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic was impressed by Chipolopolo’s performance against South Africa yesterday in an international friendly.

In a post-match reaction, Micho said the team needed such a result ahead of the back to Back Afcon Qualifiers against Botswana Next as well as the 2021 African Nations Championship (CHAN)

” It was like a clash of two Boxers without guards attacking each other, we have been one-nil down in a situation where we controlled the game and we got that goal, I need to give credit to the players that came from the Bench and won the game for us,” he said.

“After losing two matches (AFCON qualifiers), we are going back and what better confidence than beating South Africa here with top-class individuals, top-class teams, and getting a good injection of motivation before the Africa Cup qualifiers against Botswana in November,” he added.

Micho said he was working on the human relationship among players so that when they are on the field of play there is that Corporation and Coordination to play for the Nation.

“The first thing I have to sort out in this team is that they have good human relations so that when they come on the field they look right, left and back that my best friends are around me and to play for the nation and to give their best,” he said.

Two goals from Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba and Chaniza Zulu earned Chipolopolo a 2-1 win over Bafana Bafana of South Africa to end the FIFA window with a win.
