Mazabuka Nurse Clobbered For Being Negligent

A nurse from Mazabuka district hospital identified as Sililo Simusho was yesterday beaten while on duty after a 3 year old boy died due to negligence.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police Godwin Phiri who confirmed the incident to Byta FM News this morning says the child’s father who is a Zambia Sugar employee is reported to have beaten the female nurse.
And Phiri says small incidences of burning tyres were yesterday recorded in Kalomo and Monze districts.
This followed the arrest of United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema and his Vice Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba in Luanshya.
Phiri has since warned that Police will remain on high alert and deal firmly with perpetrators and instigators of lawlessness.
